Who We Are
ITL was originally
started in 1989 by Grace Tia Bon Bon in Newcastle upon Tyne under the
name Sakura Communications. Sakura had identified that a local company
with an understanding of the North Eastern culture would better satisfy
the translation, interpreting and presentation needs of the fifty two
Japanese companies based or setting up in the North East of England, this
local knowledge and understanding has added immense value to everyone
ITL has dealt with
and has now positioned ITL
as the North Easts premier teaching establishment on cultural issues.
Grace has received many awards and written in both the local and national
press on many issues concerning translation, interpreting and cultural
issues. The basic philosophy of ITL
was soon required in many more languages and the company has now added
almost every language from Arabic to Zulu to its growing portfolio.
